The purpose of research. The study of the features of the left ventricle remodeling in the acutest stage of experimental myocardial infarction and the possibility of the correction of detected injuries. Methods. Experimental myocardial infarction in rats was induced by single-step ligation of the left descending coronary artery. The animals were randomized into 3 groups: 1st – sham-operated (n=6), 2nd – acute myocardial infarction (n=12) and 3d – doxycycline + acute myocardial infarction (n=9). Echocardiographic assessment of the dynamics of the alteration of left ventricle geometry was performed before and after opening the chest, and in 3, 10, 15, 20, 30, 45 and 60 minutes after coronary artery ligation. Results. The coronary artery ligation caused to pronounced changes in the geometry of the left ventricle, peaked to the 20th minute of ischemia.
