Purpose. To study pharmacokinetic parameters in studies of a comparative bioavailability in combination with the assessment of homeostatic mechanisms of the regulation on the example of calcium. Methods. There were studied pharmacokinetic parameters of calcium preparation, which in their composition contain 1000 and 1200 mg of calcium, 800 and 1000 IU of cholecalciferol. Results. The measurement of pharmacokinetic parameters of the calcium preparation: the area under the curve «concentration – time» (AUC) and maximum concentration (Cmax) in volunteers. To assessthe excretion of calcium withurine in terms of creatinine clearance, and parathyroid hormone level. Conclusions. The expert assessment of calcium absorption of the various drugs is difficult due to the fact that the substance is endogenous and exogenous when it is received there is a possibility of transfer to other compartments of the body. There was suggested along with standard way of calculating the area under the curve «concentration – time» total calcium in serum, to assess the excretion of calcium in the urine in the terms of the excretion of creatinine, as well as to focus on changes in the level of parathyroid hormone in volunteers, which can be considered as a marker of the level of calcium in the blood.
