Introduction. The assessment of placental dysfunction in clinical practice remains to be subject of debates, the search of sustaining morphological markers continues. The aim of the study was to find the correlation between the expression of vimentin and placental lactogen with Doppler intraplacental vessels parameters in cases with physiological pregnancy (PP) and placental insufficiency (PI). Materials and methods. A total of 10 singleton pregnant women including 5 PP and 5 PI cases were observed in the III trimester: Fetometry, Doppler in the main arteries of a functional system of mother-placenta-fetus intraplacental vessels under a volume image reconstruction (Vocal, Voluson-730 expert, GE), laser scanning confocal microscope villous tree of placentas obtained after term delivery, the identification of expression of vimentin and placental lactogen (PL) in the central and edge portions of the placenta were performed.
