Introduction. Endometriosisis a commonovarianhormone-dependent diseasesin womenof reproductive age. Lack ofeffectiveness of treatmentof this diseasemay be associatedwith gapsof knowledgeabout the molecular mechanismsof its originand development. The aim of the study. In order to study the mechanisms of pathogenesis and molecular causes of differences between the clinical course of two histological types of ovarian endometrioid formations – glandular-cystic and cystic – we have performed clinical and laboratory researches and comparative analysis of gene expression of oestradiol and progesterone receptors in endometrioid ovarian tissue in 88 women of reproductive age. Methods. In biopsies unaltered ovary and endometrial tissue by PCR-RT we have determined the level of gene expression of oestradiol and progesterone receptors. Results. We revealed an increased expression of ERβ gene in both types of disease 3.3 times compared to normal tissues of the ovary (p
