SEX HORMONES AS REGULATORS OF THE LEVEL OF GROWTH FACTORS IN TUMOR TISSUES IN POLYNEOPLASIA OF FEMALE REPRODUCTIVE ORGANS

Introduction. Sex hormones are known to influence on synthesis of growth factors in breast and uterus tumors, but their correlation in polyneoplasias is poorly studied. The aim of the study. The analyze local steroidogenesis, synthesis of growth factors and their correlation in tissues of neoplasms in solitary and combined growth of malignant tumor of breast and uterine myoma. Methods. The level of estrogens and their metabolites 2OHE1 and 16α-OHE1, progesterone, growth factors – vascular endothelial (VEGA), epidermal (EGF) – were studied with the use of ELISA in tissues of solitary malignant breast tumors (n=37), uterine myoma (n=27) and tumors in combined breast cancer and uterine myoma (n=36). Results. Single-type positive correlations of VEGF and EGF expression with levels of estradiol, estrone, 16α-OHE1 and negative correlation links with levels of estriol and progesterone were detected in polyneoplasias of tissues of breast cancer and uterine myoma. Conclusion. Similar in direction and strength, new correlation links between the level of growth factors and some sex hormones appear in synchronous process in tissues of malignant breast tumors and benign uterus tumors, unlike solitary processes.
