ЗАЧЕМ ВЗРОСЛОМУ МОЗГУ НУЖНЫ НОВЫЕ НЕРВНЫЕ КЛЕТКИ?

Большой опыт исследования нейрогенеза взрослого мозга («adult neurogenesis») представил множество доказательств эндогенной трансформации нейральных стволовых клеток. Эти данные развенчали давнюю догму о неизменности нейронального пула постнатального мозга. Однако остается интригующим главный вопрос: зачем зрелому мозгу нужны новые нейроны? В данной статье изложены доводы, которые обосновывают новый взгляд на роль нейрогенеза. На основе анализа разнообразной информации сформулирована гипотеза об организующей миссии нейрогенеза, необходимого для жизнедеятельности мозга. Среди главных доводов – перечень физиологических процессов, связанных с формированием новых клеток, и его высокая регулируемость на всех этапах. Экспрессия нейрогенеза обусловлена потребностью в функциональной реорганизации звеньев нейрональной сети. В этом списке – организация памяти, социальное поведение, стресспротективные реакции, репродуктивная функция, изменения психических состояний, ишемические и нейродегенеративные заболевания, травмы мозга и др. Приведены данные, иллюстрирующие сигнальную регуляцию и нейротрофический контроль нейрогенеза; адаптивную реорганизацию гиппокампа; репрограммирование нейральных прогениторов; заместительную и секреторную роль нейронов и глиальных клеток. Формирование в результате регулируемого нейрогенеза таких структур открывает возможности для новых позиций в нейробиологии и новых терапевтических подходов.
